Tottenham offer highly-rated academy starlet a new two-year deal
One of Tottenham’s academy players, Luca Williams-Barnet, who has shown tremendous promise for the Under-18s this season, has reportedly been rewarded with a two-year deal.
Some exciting talents in Tottenham’s Under-18 side
Tottenham’s current Under-18 set-up is packed with lots of talent from back to front, with many of them seen as future potential first-team prospects at Hotspur Way.
We have already seen Mikey Moore making that transition and the 17-year-old has not looked out of place in the senior set-up.
The man who has arguably been the best among Stuart Lewis’ squad this season is Luca Williams-Barnet, who has nine goals and four assists so far in eight appearances in the Under-18 PL this season.
Luca Williams-Barnett offered a two-year scholarship
The attacking midfielder is now set to be rewarded for his improved performances, with Spurs reportedly offering him a two-year deal.
This update comes from John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about Tottenham’s youth teams on his social media platform, Lilywhite Rose.
Wenham revealed that Williams-Barnet will be handed a two-year scholarship to join the Under-18’s next season and described him ‘arguably the best player for his age across the country’.
What kind of a player is Williams-Barnett?
Although Williams-Barnett is a creative midfielder by trade, he is extremely versatile and has also operated in either flank.
The 16-year-old possesses an eye for goal, being an impressive finisher with either foot, while he is also extremely skilful in making a yard for himself and always has a picture of what is around him.
The midfielder has been capped five times for England’s Under-17 side, having scored one goal.
