Labour Ministry mulls scheme for gig, platform workers

The Ministry of Labour & Employment is developing a scheme to provide social security benefits to gig and platform workers, as they lack a traditional employer-employee relationship. Union Labour Secretary Sumita Dawra stated that a policy is being created to support their productivity and economic contribution.
