Business as usual for Ange Postecoglou at Spurs

Despite the speculation from the outside over his future at Tottenham, it seems to be business as usual for Postecoglou at the moment, with no real sign that the club are set to make a big change.

In fact, reports indicate that the Spurs boss has already held several meetings with technical director Johan Lange to discuss January additions.

That suggests that the Tottenham hierarchy are still optimistic that the current project will succeed, but we know that things can change quite quickly in football.

Ramon Vega fears Daniel Levy may use Postecoglou as the fall guy at Spurs

Vega agrees with the general sentiment among the Tottenham fan base that the issue is not with the coaching staff, but rather higher up.

However, the former Spurs defender acknowledged that Daniel Levy is not going to step down, which is why a managerial change might be the most likely outcome.

Vega wrote on X: “Sacking Ange Postecoglou may not effectively address the challenges facing Spurs, especially since past managerial changes have not resulted in the improvements or success that fans have hoped for.

“Over the years, many talented managers have come in to revitalize the club, yet the results have often remained stagnant. It’s a tough situation, and it’s evident that a deeper, more fundamental solution is necessary. Unfortunately, it seems that Daniel Levy is unlikely to step down until he finds a buyer for the club.

“Fans deserve better, and it’s understandable to feel frustrated during these times. Only one thing is guaranteed in football: the manager of the team is going to be sacked; it’s just a matter of time.”

Daniel Levy will be desperate for Postecoglou to succeed

Levy will know that he cannot afford another failed project and that he will be in the firing line should the Australian depart. The Spurs chairman will thus be desperate for Postecoglou to turn things around and prove a success at N17.

Additionally, in the 59-year-old, Levy has someone who takes responsibility and toes the company line, which was not the case with many of Ange’s predecessors.
