SC stays Customs' Rs 10.69 cr interest demand on Hindustan Zinc's solar panel imports

The Supreme Court stayed a customs interest demand of ₹10.69 crore on Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL). HZL had imported solar cell panels from China through Mahindra Susten and paid ₹18.26 crore in safeguard duty under protest. HZL challenged the Rajasthan High Court's refusal to stay the interest demand, arguing that the duty's validity is pending before the Supreme Court.
