We should celebrate
Not discriminate
Learn to appreciate
Don’t play at hate
Because there’s room for you
And there’s space for me
Living in this world of diversity
Let’s celebrate diversity!
Now nature dresses up in many shades of skin
The tones we display are the result of melanin
If you hate your neighbour because of their skin colour
Then you really hate yourself
Cos we’re all versions of each other
People embrace religion but still they fuss and fight
Many believe in one God
So why on earth don’t they unite?
There are many different faiths
We have lots of beliefs
Let’s celebrate our differences
Instead of living life in grief
We should celebrate not discriminate
Learn to appreciate
Don’t play at hate
Because there’s room for you
And there’s space for me
Living in this world of diversity
Let’s celebrate diversity!
Frank Cottrell-Boyce
How about S for spellbinder – there’s magic in that name
Or P for phoenix – you rose out of the flame
Or E for enchanting – with your tales of near and far
Or double L for lovely library – cos that’s a more accurate description of what you are
Or O for o it’s wonderful to see you whole again
Which is it to be?
You said no, no, no
This was Spellow before
This is Spellow still
No lies or fire can can dim the light
This beacon on a hill.
