Iberia Parish Thanksgiving shooting victims now wanted fugitives

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) -- Two people who were shot on Thanksgiving night are now wanted fugitives, authorities said.

The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the public in the location of two people, Alira Clark, 24, and Tariq Jamel Perry, 24. They are charged with the following:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I drugs (3 counts)
  • Possession of Schedule V drugs
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia – Misdemeanor
  • Monies derived from drug transactions – Felony
  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs – Felony

Officials said Clark and Perry were victims of a shooting that occurred on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 28. While processing the victim’s vehicle, deputies found $17,000 in cash a large amount of suspected marijuana, a handgun, Promethazine and mushrooms.
