Man shot in south Columbus dies the following day

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A man who was shot on the city’s south side Tuesday afternoon died the following day.

According to Columbus police, 45-year-old Darrell Hambrick died Wednesday afternoon, at 3:26 p.m., after suffering multiple gunshot wounds one day earlier. Hambrick was found by police, who responded to reports of a person shot in the Vassor Village neighborhood.

Hambrick was found in the 700 block of East Moler Street at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Police do not yet know what led to the shooting, which remains under investigation.
