Delhi court sends AAP MLA Naresh Balyan to judicial custody in MCOCA case

A Delhi court on Friday sent AAP's Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Balyan to judicial custody in an alleged organized crime case, denying police further remand. Balyan, who had been in seven-day police custody, was arrested on December 4 under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The court rejected the police's request for a 10-day extension of custody.
