Satellite spectrum not to be allocated on first come first serve basis: Scindia

Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia clarified that satellite spectrum will be allocated administratively, not auctioned, due to its inherent shared nature. He emphasized that pricing won't be first-come-first-serve but determined by TRAI. Scindia also highlighted BSNL's operational profitability since 2021 and its ongoing 4G rollout using indigenous technology, with a transition to 5G planned by 2025.
