BIg Brother legend in ambulance horror after struggling to breathe and coughing up blood after ‘deadly’ illness
BIG Brother star Imogen Thomas has shared her horror after being left unable to breathe and facing a scary ambulance dash amid a terrifying health battle.
The TV personality confessed she had contracted a “deadly” viral infection that has left her “coughing up blood”.
Imogen, who rose to fame on the then-Channel 4 reality series in 2006, also admitted she had been unable to eat for a gruelling six days amid the shocking illness.
She took to her Instagram stories to give her followers an update as she confirmed that she was currently on day six of being on bed rest.
Imogen said: “Day 6 in bed. For those mocking the flu this case has been all over the news of how savage it is.
“I couldn’t breathe so I called my doctor and he called the paramedics.
“Drastic I know but I’m so grateful he did because this viral infection has been deadly and scary.
“Today I’m coughing small amounts of blood. I’m assuming it’s from straining as the cough has been continuous.
“It’s been so painful but I feel grateful it’s happened now and not Christmas when my mum is with me who is vulnerable.”
Imogen went on to share that she hopes she is at the start of her recovery process after waking up feeling somewhat better in comparison to the other days since she left hospital.
The reality TV star continued: “I woke up not shaking today so I’m praying this is the start of recovery.
“I will try and eat today too it’s been impossible to keep anything down for 6 days!”
She then also revealed how the illness had spread to her children as well but clarified that they were not as bad as her and had not experienced the same worries and dangers.
She closed out her post by asking for fans prayers, writing: “My girls have also had it but not as bad as me so u can imagine my household.
“Pray for me for a speedy recovery so I can enjoy my time with my family.”
IMOGEN’S BIG BROTHER PAST
Imogen entered the house for the seventh instalment of the show on day one and she lasted a whopping 86 days on the show.
During her almost three-month stint, she was in the famous Elstree Studios compound with legendary personalities.
The likes of Nikki Grahame, Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, Pete Bennett, Grace Adams-Short and Mikey Dalton all shared the house with the star.
