How to Watch the 'Yellowstone' Series Finale

On Sunday evening, it all comes to an end. After six years, and a staggering number of spinoffs and world-building, Taylor Sheridan’s epic western series Yellowstone will conclude, finally, with the last episode of Season 5. While this is the end of an era, it’s not the end of the Yellowstone shared TV universe. Several spinoffs are still happening, including prequels like 1923, and a new in-development spinoff focused on Rip and Beth, which will continue from the events of Yellowstone itself.

But how can you watch this historic finale as it happens? Here’s your guide to watching the series finale of Yellowstone, Season 5, Episode 14, “Life is a Promise.”

When Does the Yellowstone Series Finale Air?

Yellowstone drops the final episode of the show on Sunday, December 14, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Yellowstone airs live on the Paramount Network, a cable channel. This should not be confused with Paramount+, a streaming service. The earliest you can watch the Yellowstone finale will be on the Paramount Network, as it airs. If you don’t have regular cable, you can set up an account with Sling, a subscription service that allows you to stream cable channels directly to your laptop or smart TV. Yellowstone also airs live on CMT.

When does the Yellowstone Series Finale Stream?

New episodes of Yellowstone Season 5 (Part 2) don’t stream on traditional streaming services right away. If you want to watch the finale on-demand, you’ll have to purchase it through Philo, after it airs.

Where to watch the rest of Yellowstone streaming

The vast majority of Yellowstone, which includes Seasons 1-4 and the first half of Season 5, all stream on Peacock. This means you can watch the entire epic series from the beginning with relative ease. But, the rest of Season 5, including the finale, likely won’t hit Peacock (or other traditional streaming services) until sometime in 2025.

So for now, if you want to relive the whole show, Peacock is your best bet. If you want to catch-up on the new stuff, including the finale, you’ll have to make sure you have the Paramount Network, get a Sling account, or be okay with buying episodes on demand on Philo.
