Prince William’s Rare Insight Into Christmas at Sandringham Makes Us Think Prince Louis Will Be Front & Center

Prince William just gave fans an early Christmas present: A peek inside the ever-elusive Christmas celebrations at Sandringham House. While it’s common knowledge that the royal family spends Christmas Eve and Christmas at the royal property — walking to and from St. Mary Magdalene Church for a Christmas morning service — the rest is all a bit speculative.

But the heir to the throne met with members of the British armed forces and their families earlier this week — a move that made followers think of how “proud” his late mother Princess Diana would be — and shared some rare details about the festivities.

“We’ll be 45 for Christmas. It won’t be quiet, it will be noisy,” he said during the outing, per People.

And though the noise could just be the understandable chatter that comes with hosting 45 people (!!!), part of us wonders if that noise will be coming from Prince Louis and his latest hobby.

Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and Prince George attend the ‘Together At Christmas’ Carol Service at Westminster Abbey on December 6, 2024 in London, England.

During a recent appearance at the Tusk Awards, Prince William told Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood and Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler that Prince Louis has started taking drumming lessons.

“My youngest is learning the drums,” the Prince of Wales said per Hello! “That’s why I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears.”

And so we have to wonder … will Prince Louis break out his drumsticks on Christmas and play for the 44 other guests? Will he [attempt to] play “Little Drummer Boy?” Is that the noise the dad of three is referring to?

Or will the noise be all the laughter brought on by Princess Charlotte? Earlier this month, an insider revealed that the 9-year-old seems to have inherited a major skill from a royal relative.

“I’m told Charlotte has also inherited from the late Queen [Elizabeth II] a brilliant ability to mimic prominent figures,” royal author Phil Dampier told Hello! “That should come in handy at Christmas when the royals gather in the evening at Sandringham to play charades.”

“Queen Elizabeth used to have her family in stitches with her impersonations of politicians, including US Presidents and former Russian leader Boris Yeltsin,” Dampier continued.

So who knows, maybe it will be the little fashion icon who will be causing all that ruckus with everyone “in stitches.” Or … why not both?! If guests do need to stick their fingers in their ears, we’re sure they’ll want a good laugh afterward!
