After the Buzzer – Vipers Snap Skid with 7-4 Victory Over Blackfalds Bulldogs

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers ended their four-game losing streak in commanding fashion, defeating the Blackfalds Bulldogs 7-4 at Kal Tire Place. A balanced offensive attack and solid goaltending effort propelled the Vipers to the win.

Offensive Contributions Dennis Lominac led the charge for the Vipers, recording a goal and two assists. Contributions came from all corners of the lineup as Jakub Galnor, Simon Binkley, Noah Grolnic, and Corban Almen each registered a goal and an assist. Charlie Kresl and Erik Pastro also found the back of the net with single tallies. The Vipers’ playmakers were equally active, with Landon Pappas, Jordan Gudridge, Will Schumacher, Daniil Dolzhenko, and Sam Ward all collecting assists.

Goaltending Performance Jari Kykkanen was steady in net for Vernon, making 30 saves on 34 shots. His solid play helped the Vipers maintain control despite Blackfalds’ attempts to mount a comeback.

Bulldogs’ Efforts For the Blackfalds Bulldogs, Gates Omicioli was a standout performer with two goals and an assist. Antoine Gauthier also made his presence felt, chipping in with three assists. Jared Langdon had a productive night as well, finishing with a goal and an assist. Between the pipes, Dylan Adams made 33 saves on 39 shots before being replaced late in regulation by Mikkel Christensen.

Looking Ahead With the win, the Vipers improve their home record to 4-6-3 and sit at 9-14-4 at the midway point of the season. The team now heads into a holiday break and will return to action on Friday, December 28th, when they host the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at Kal Tire Place.

This victory offers a much-needed confidence boost for the Vipers as they look to build momentum in the second half of the season.
