One seriously injured after crashing car into tree on Columbus highway ramp

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is seriously injured after crashing into a tree Saturday morning on a highway ramp near Downtown Columbus.

A police dispatcher said officers were alerted of the crash just before 7 a.m. at the Interstate 670 East ramp towards State Route 315 North. One vehicle was found crashed into a tree with one person being taken to a hospital in serious condition.

The ramp was closed by authorities where they redirected traffic but it has reopened as of 8:30 a.m.
