Chris McCausland
Chris previously joked he would be “gone by October”[/caption]Blind comedian Chris McCausland defied all the odds to become one of the most talented dancers on Strictly 2024.
Paired with Aussie pro Dianne Buswell, the TV star’s amazing footwork didn’t go unnoticed by the judges.
The comic had previously joked he would be “gone by October”, but managed to prove himself wrong, making it all the way to the iconic glitterball trophy after 13 inspiring weeks.
Speaking about his big Strictly win, Chris said: “It’s astonishing,
“I honestly thought I would go out in the first week or two – and I know no one can go out in the first week, but I honestly thought I would.”
“Anything can happen,” he added.
Reflecting on his journey overall, the comic described it as “unbelievable, surprising and emotional”, also adding that feels he has learnt a lot about himself.
“The fact that we’ve been able to do it, the fact that we’ve been able to pull this off, the fact we’ve been able to learn the dances and put on a show… It’s all surprising”, he said.
As they revelled in their win, Chris’ pro-partner Dianne added: “It’s pretty cool,
“This is me and you Chris, we worked together and we did it.”
