Former North Portland dispensary catches fire on all floors
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A fire on all floors of a former Greenhouse Dispensary in North Portland prompted response from emergency crews Friday evening.
Just before 7:30 p.m., crews responded to a building under construction at 4936 North Williams Avenue on reports of a structure fire.
When they arrived, firefighters found heavy smoke showing from the second story of the building, but no flames.
However, when they entered the building, they found fire in the garage, first and second floors.
As a result, the area was temporarily closed to traffic while crews attempted to knock back the flames.
Authorities said the fire ultimately burned through one side of the house on the first floor.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials told KOIN 6 News that the fire was accidental, but the cause is still under investigation.
