Elizabeth Taylor’s Granddaughter Shares the ‘Exquisite’ Gift She Received From Her Legendary Grandma

Elizabeth Taylor welcomed four children in her life, all of whom welcomed kids of their own. And now, one of her beloved grandkids is talking about what the holidays were like with the Hollywood legend.

In case you missed it, her granddaughter Naomi Wilding recently spoke with People for House of Taylor, and how her late grandma gave her the “most elaborate” Christmas ever.

“I remember falling asleep next to the tree in the living room, and waking up to the sight of dozens of boxes addressed to me under the tree,” she said. “All were from Saks 5th Ave. — a silk nightdress and dressing gown by Christian Dior, dresses by YSL, Chanel, and Dior, as well as jackets and outfits by Saks. They were all exquisite, and completely impractical for the rural life I would go back to, but I loved them.”

“Granny liked to spoil me,” she gushed, saying that “Great gift-giving isn’t about the price tag — it’s about the intention and thought behind each gesture, which in Elizabeth’s case, extended even to small details like the color of someone’s eyes or practical items like snow tires for family members in cold climates.”

So it seems like Taylor loved to go all out for those she loved, and didn’t care about the price tag. She just wanted the people she loved to feel loved, spoiled, and listened to. how touching!

As many know, Taylor was married eight times in her life. And within those seven marriages, she welcomed four children. She first welcomed two children with her second husband, Michael Wilding, named Michael Wilding Jr, born in Jan 1953, and Christopher, born in Feb 1955.

She then welcomed a daughter named Liza Todd in Aug 1937 with her third husband, Eddie Fisher. On Aug 1961, she adopted her fourth child, a daughter named Maria, with her husband Richard Burton.

Okay, now let’s get to the grandkids. Her first son, Michael Jr, has welcomed three children named Laela, born in July 1971, Naomi, born in Jan 1975, and Tarquin, born in July 1989.

Her son Christopher welcomed two children named Damian, born in 1991, and Chloe, born in 1993.

Her elder daughter Liza also welcomed two children named Quincy Taylor, born in 1985, and Eliza Taylor, born in 1988. Maria welcomed two sons named David and Michael.
