To the editor: Assad collapse is opportunity for Mideast

Turkey, Iran, Russia, the United States, Israel, the Syrian dictatorship, numerous anti-Syrian government rebel factions, and more Islamic terror organizations than anyone outside of the CIA could name, all had a hand in Syria’s failure as a nation. Now Abu Mohammed al-Golani (“an Islamist with a $10 million terrorist bounty on his head”), heads the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham that seized power and is the de-facto head of state in Syria.
