Tottenham forward is set to be the subject of ‘major transfer operation’

One club are now making major efforts to put together a financial package that would help them prise away a forward from Tottenham in January.

Club plotting to re-sign 27-year-old Spurs man

If you have followed Spurs Web’s coverage, you would know that many Brazilian outlets have reported over the last few days that Fluminense are eyeing a sensation move to bring Richarlison back to Brazil.

However, it has been revealed by several sources that any deal would prove difficult for the club to do in January, with the player not expected to leave N17 until next summer.

Some outlets have pointed out that Fluminense may also struggle to afford the kind of fee that Spurs would demand for the former Everton man.

Fluminense eyeing a major operation

However, Itatiaia now claim that the Brazilian giants have not given up hopes of landing Richarlison and are setting up a ‘major operation’ to get him out of Tottenham.

In fact, Fluminense’s president, Mario Bittencourt, is thought to have personally contacted the striker about returning to the club in the upcoming transfer window.

It is revealed that the club initially wanted to sign the former Everton man on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy but Spurs have made it clear that they will only let the player leave if they receive adequate financial compensation.

A deal looks extremely unlikely in January

Even if Spurs do bring a striker through the door in January, one would expect the club to demand at least around £30m-£35m for Richarlison.

It is difficult to see Fluminense or any other Brazilian side being able to afford such a fee. One would expect the forward to see out the season at Spurs and reassess his situation in the summer.
