287 killed, 1,000 held, 837 surrendered in last one year: Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reported 287 Maoists killed, 1,000 arrested, and 837 surrendered in Chhattisgarh over the past year. Civilian and security personnel deaths from Maoist violence dropped below 100 for the first time in four decades. Shah also highlighted significant drug seizures and arrests, and presented the President's Colour to the Chhattisgarh Police.
