Warriors vs. Mavericks injury report

Dennis Schröder is not yet with the team.

The Golden State Warriors are hosting the Dallas Mavericks tonight at 5:30 p.m. PT, in a game televised on NBA TV and NBC Sports Bay Area. It was a late addition to the schedule as the Warriors, like all teams, were only given 80 games to begin the season to accommodate the Emirates NBA Cup. The Dubs had an 81st game added for the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup and, after losing that game against the Houston Rockets, had an 82nd game scheduled against the Mavs.

It should be a fun game, though there are a fair amount of players that may not play. Here’s the full injury report.

Warriors

Out — Dennis Schröder (not with team)

The Warriors wasted no time upgrading their roster, pouncing on a deal for the veteran point guard on the first day that De’Anthony Melton’s contract could be traded. Not surprisingly, Schröder is not yet with the team, at least in the formal sense ... don’t be surprised if he’s in the building for the game, and expect to see him suit up on Wednesday.

Out — Moses Moody (left knee patellar tendonopathy)

It seems that the Warriors still view Moody’s injury as fairly mild, but it’s certainly costing him more time than he — or the Warriors — would have hoped.

Questionable — Steph Curry (right cervical facet inflammation)

At this point I probably don’t need to tell you how important it is to have Curry on the floor, especially since Schröder isn’t able to suit up yet.

Questionable — Andrew Wiggins (right adductor tightness)

Good news: Wiggins’ ankle impingement is no longer on the injury report. Bad news: something else is.

Questionable — Gui Santos (G League assignment)

Santos has’t been able to find any non-garbage time minutes for the Warriors this year, and that’s unlikely to change. But thankfully he’s getting some good seasoning in the G League.

Mavericks

Out — Maxi Kleber (rib fracture)

Kleber hasn’t played the last two games, though his rib fracture shouldn’t keep him out too long. It’s not a huge loss for the Mavs, as the veteran big man had been struggling a bit.

Out — Jaden Hardy (right ankle sprain)

Hardy is a reliable bench piece for the Mavs, but an ankle injury has cost him a few games in his third season, and looks like it will cost him a few more.

Out — Naji Marshall (illness)

The Dubs are catching a little bit of a break here, as Marshall has been having the best season of his career, but is sick.

Out — Dante Exum (right wrist surgery)

Exum hasn’t played this year, and won’t for a while. He suffered an injury during the preseason, and is still a ways away from returning.

Out — Brandon Williams (right thumb sprain)

Williams is on a two-way contract, and still trying to find a place in the league. He showed a lot of potential in averaging 12.9 points in 24 games with the Blazers his rookie year, but in the three years since has played just 22 NBA games, and logged 134 minutes.

Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
