Reebok Reveals the Nano X5 Training Shoe — the Most Comfortable Nano to Date
Reebok’s beloved Nano franchise — featuring shoes once synonymous with CrossFit that are now designed for all fitness fanatics — is expanding.
In early 2025, the athletic brand will release the Nano X5 training shoe. For the 15th anniversary of what Reebok has dubbed the “official shoe of fitness,” the brand explained it was focused on keeping the wearer grounded, comfortable and supported “no matter the test.”
“The Nano X5 celebrates Reebok’s continued commitment to innovation, championing the athlete and creating the best training shoe on the market,” Reebok product director Tal Short said in a statement. “In creating the Nano X5, we looked to our legacy in training and listened to our valued customer’s feedback, to create the most comfortable Nano of all time, without compromising on performance.”
To accomplish this, Reebok will introduce a new technology, DualResponse midsoles. These EVA midsoles, Reebok explained, consist of a zoned durometer foam that is cushioned and more responsive in the forefoot, and are firmer and more stable in the rear.
These midsoles are paired with the brand’s Decoupled Metasplit outsoles, which Reebok stated creates enhanced flexibility and runnability.
Another comfort-focused addition to the shoe are its Performance Comfort Collar, which Reebok stated provides “a 360-degree locked-in fit.” The tech is completed with the brand’s premium FlexWeave uppers for protection, comfort and breathability.
“The Nano X5 is my go-to training shoe that helps me excel across a wide range of workouts,” said fitness trainer and wellness influencer Sydney Adams King, who is featured in the Nano X5 campaign. “They’re comfortable, keep me fully supported, while still being stylish.”
Fitness influencer and videographer Quinn Welychka is also featured in the campaign.
The Reebok Nano X5 arrives Jan. 24, 2025 via Reebok.com and at select retailers globally. The shoes will debut in a variety of unisex and women’s colorways and will retail for $140.
