Days after its reopening, two damaged idols found inside Sambhal temple well
Two damaged idols of Lakshmi and Parvati were discovered in a well at the recently reopened Bhasma Shankar temple in Sambhal. The temple, shut for 46 years, was rediscovered during an anti-encroachment drive. Authorities plan to carbon-date the temple and the well to determine their age. The temple is located near the Shahi Jama Masjid, the site of recent protests.
