Church, sorority to bring diverse toys to Albany kids

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A church in Albany and a sorority are teaming up to bring toys to children this Monday. The Metropolitan Church and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority's Omicron Epsilon Zeta chapter are hosting a drive-thru toy giveaway in Arbor Hill.

This event is a part of the Black Doll Project, aiming to distribute over 300 black dolls and additional toys to children in need. The Black Doll Project addresses underrepresentation and stereotypes by providing dolls that reflect the beauty and diversity of black children

This partnership has helped deliver over 500 toys annually. It takes place at the Metropolitan Church on Second Street in Albany from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
