'All we can do is pray': Fox News expert dismisses WI school shooting as 'fact of life'

An expert on school shootings, former NYPD inspector Paul Mauro, argued on Fox News that school shootings were a "fact of life" and "all we can do is pray" following deaths in Madison, Wisconsin.

As news was breaking on Monday that at least three people, including the suspected shooter, were reportedly dead at Abundant Life Christian School, Fox News asked Mauro to comment on the shooting.

"You know, it's this story again," Mauro opined. "And all we can do is pray for the people who have gone to the hospital."

"It's become very much a fact of life here in America at the school level, and there's certain things here that really do jump out at you," he continued. "It's at a younger level school."

"And it just really does show that, you know, it's going to be a fact of life to have school resources officers, to have metal detectors, to have response protocols."

Reports later suggested that three people were dead. The suspected shooter was thought to be a student at the K-12 school, which included daycare for infants.
