Govt to train hospital staff as C-sections in Karnataka reach 46%: Health minister Dinesh Gundu Rao

Karnataka is tackling its rising C-section rate, currently at 46%, with a new program. The initiative will train healthcare providers and raise awareness among expectant mothers about natural childbirth. Midwifery-led care units are being established in several district hospitals. The government is also cracking down on female foeticide with increased inspections and stricter enforcement of the PCPNDT Act.
