Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, and everyone who went multiplatinum in record-setting 2024

When it comes to selling albums, the Taylor Swift era shows no signs of ending.

The Recording Industry Association of America on Monday released its report on gold, platinum, and multiplatinum recordings from the year 2024. Swift topped the albums list with her six-times platinum blockbuster “The Tortured Poets Department,” while Shaboozey‘s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was certified five-times platinum, making it the RIAA’s top single of the year. Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Short n’ Sweet” also went multiplatinum, while Ariana Grande (“Eternal Sunshine“), Billie Eilish (“Hit Me Hard and Soft”), Future and Metro Boomin (“We Don’t Trust You”) and Nicki Minaj (“Pink Friday 2”) went platinum. Eilish has the most certifications with 10. In addition to her album’s platinum status, her biggest single was “Birds of a Feather” at four-times platinum. Her songs “Lunch,” “Chihiro,” and “Wildflower” were certified platinum as well, and singles “Skinny,” “Blue,” “The Greatest,” “The Diner,” and “L’Amour De Ma Vie” were certified gold. That means every song from her album achieved certification in 2024 except for “Bittersuite.”

In a statement, RIAA Chairman and CEO Mitch Glazier announced that more artists achieved RIAA gold and platinum certification in 2024 than any previous year, with 65 performers reaching those milestones.
