The spire of Varanasi's Maa Annapurna Temple is being gilded with 4.5 kilograms of gold, costing Rs 3.5 crores. This will be completed before the temple's Kumbhabhishek in February 2025. The 14-foot spire will be covered in gold plates, making it the fourth golden-spired temple in the city.
