Stung by criticism over hyper focus on Bengaluru, Minister Patil promises tech parks in North Karnataka

Last week, the minister revealed plans for the construction of Swift City, a 1,000-acre tech park located at Sarjapur in eastern Bengaluru. A few weeks prior, he had announced the development of Kwin City, a 2,000-acre project in Bengaluru rural district. These announcements come amid growing pressure on lawmakers in North Karnataka from local youth, due to limited job opportunities resulting from a lack of investments.
