Work, play, create at the cozy NYC Drawing Room in Chelsea
CHELSEA, Manhattan (PIX11) – If you're looking for a home away from home in New York City, this just might be the place.
The NYC Drawing Room is a quiet space in the middle of Chelsea that welcomes visitors to take off their shoes and enjoy unlimited tea or coffee along with wifi, art supplies, games, and books. The Drawing Room sits in unit 9R at 247 West 30th Street in Manhattan.
Visitors can grab a day pass for $20 to enjoy refreshments, office supplies, and an internet connection in a cozy space among strangers.
You can also let your creativity free with a $15 art library add-on that gives you unlimited usage of supplies and mediums.
Throughout the day the NYC Drawing Room hosts various events like breakfasts, lunches, game nights, movies, writers’ tea parties, and more.
For those looking to hone their artistic skills, there’s also a cohort program where participants can take part in workshops such as clay sculpting, drawing, painting, writing, or textiles.
Cohorts also build a sense of community through charm meets, potlucks, and book trades throughout the program.
The NYC Drawing Room was founded by Angela Lee after she was inspired by hosting claydates in her apartment. These days the NYC Drawing Room is run by multiple artists and volunteers.
