WATCH: DOJ, BuCor hold briefing after Mary Jane Veloso’s return

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) held a press conference following the return of overseas Filipino worker Mary Jane Veloso to the Philippines on Wednesday, December 18.

Veloso’s return comes after more than a decade of imprisonment in Indonesia, where she had been on death row for drug trafficking. She has maintained her innocence since her arrest in 2010.

DOJ and BuCor officials spoke from the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City, where Veloso will be initially detained. – Rappler.com
