Untangling the Bhad Bhabie and Alabama Barker Drama
In a classic turn of events, two women are fighting over a guy who seems like he’s really not worth the energy. This time, it’s Alabama Barker and Bhad Bhabie (née Danielle Bregoli) and some man named Le Vaughn. Barker and Bhad Bhabie have spent the last 24 hours going back and forth on social media because Bhad Bhabie claimed that Barker “took” Le Vaughn, her boyfriend and the father of her daughter. If those names sound vaguely familiar to you or you’ve seen some posts but need more context, here’s an explainer to help you put everything together.
Who is involved here?
Alabama Barker, the 18-year-old daughter of Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, is mostly an Instagram model, but recently she’s ventured into rapping and just released a song called “Vogue.” Bhad Bhabie, 21, is also a rapper, and you might remember her as either the “Cash me outside” girl from Dr. Phil or the girl who nearly scrapped with Lil Tay in that one video. Now, she has a large social-media following and a lucrative OnlyFans career. The man they are fighting over, Le Vaughn, is … well, it’s sort of unclear what he actually does or how old he is. He and Bhad Bhabie have been together since 2020, and they had their first kid together this past March.
So Bhad Bhabie accused Barker of stealing Le Vaughn?
Yes. On Tuesday, Bhad Bhabie posted an Instagram Story that read, “@alabamaluellabarker took my man.” She then followed it up with one story that read, “I told Lv next time I catch you. You gone be with them!” and another that simply said, “Single.” These posts were deleted shortly afterward, but the Shade Room was quick to screenshot.
In the comments of the initial Shade Room post, Barker wrote, “#ew.” She also posted a TikTok with the caption, “I’d never want a BUM.”
Bhad Bhabie then shared a series of Instagram Story posts coming for Barker. “I truly believe she only entertained him bc he’s my baby daddy,” she wrote. “I’ve watched her talk to numerous men with girlfriends but never thought I would see the day she did it to me.” The rapper also wrote that she felt disrespected by Barker because she thought they were friends. “A man gonna b a man but a hoe that know about you and call you a friend is a whole different level of disrespect. Especially to a postpartum mom,” she wrote.
What did Barker have to say about it?
Barker shared her side of things in a lengthy statement shared to her Instagram Story. It has since been deleted, but in it she claimed that Le Vaughn had harassed and physically assaulted her. “LV and our friend group traveled to Las Vegas last year again prior to me knowing that they were together, during which he threw a bottle at my head, resulting in a significant injury,” she wrote. “It’s troubling to see that, despite his actions, she continues to defend him even after I told her what he had done.”
She included a photo of herself with a laceration on her eyebrow, seeming to imply it was from the night she claimed Le Vaughn threw a bottle at her.
She also wrote that Le Vaughn had “confessed his feelings for me repeatedly, and despite his dishonesty and betrayal of his relationship, I chose to disregard his advances.”
“I want to be clear,” Barker wrote. “I have no interest in this man, nor would I ever lower myself to be with someone who has been physically abusive towards women.”
Back in July, Bhad Bhabie shared (and deleted) a video of what appeared to be Le Vaughn physically assaulting her. Per XXL, the video shows him striking her, causing her to fall to the ground. The video also shows him pushing her to the ground and putting his knee on her back.
Are there any more updates?
The Shade Room got ahold of a photo of Barker and Le Vaughn cuddling together on a couch, which I think is supposed to blow the roof off the idea that she’s uninterested in him. He, meanwhile, wrote on his own Instagram Story to say that Barker was lying in order to “maintain a certain image online.”
In one of the only Instagram Stories that’s still up, Barker wrote that she would be sharing her side of the story in a TikTok video on Wednesday.
