A Kolkata couple, the Biswases, faced immense humiliation at their daughter's wedding reception when the caterer they hired for ₹5.9 lakh failed to show up. Left scrambling, they managed to arrange a meager meal, but many guests departed hungry. The caterer, Rangan Niyogi, with a history of similar scams, was later arrested.
