Sabrina Carpenter Comments on Dating Prospects for First Time Since Barry Keoghan Split

Sabrina Carpenter is opening up about dating prospects for the first time after breaking up with Barry Keoghan.

The 25-year-old “Espresso” pop star and the 32-year-old Saltburn actor dated for around a year before splitting up earlier this month.

She has not directly referenced the split yet. However, during a recent appearance, Sabrina weighed in on the belief that there are “plenty of fish in the sea.”

Sabrina made a surprise appearance at producer Jack Antonoff‘s The Ally Coalition talent show on December 17. While onstage, they performed her song “Slim Pickins,” which she wrote with assistance from Jack for her new album Short n Sweet.

While introducing the song, she referenced the belief that there are “plenty of fish in the sea,” via Us Weekly. If you were unaware, the idiom implies that there are multiple options for romantic partners.

However, Sabrina said that she thought the belief was a “big fat lie, I think.”

A reason for Sabrina and Barry‘s split has not been confirmed. The actor deleted his Instagram account following rumors that he cheated on the pop star. However, the women he was accused of having an affair with denied the report.
