Who Are Buffaloes on 'The Masked Singer' Season 12? Clues, Guesses, & Spoilers Revealed!

It’s the season finale of The Masked Singer!

The season 12 finale of the hit FOX mystery competition series aired on Wednesday night (December 18).

The show, which began in South Korea, features celebrities singing songs while wearing costumes and face masks concealing their identities until they’re eliminated. Throughout the season, the contestants provide clues to try and help the judges and fans figure out who is under the mask.

This season also features Ambassadors, who are all alums of the series, that have a special connection to each singer and will be providing major new clues about their friends’ identities.

During the episode, the Top Two – Wasp & Buffaloes – hit the stage for their final performances of the season.

While on stage, Buffaloes first performed “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye before performing “Too Good at Goodbyes” by Sam Smith.

MASKED AMBASSADOR: Nick Lachey aka Season 5 winner Piglet

Based on the clues we believe that the Buffaloes are Boyz II Men. Their costumes are adorned with eagles, and the guys were raised in Philadelphia, whose football team is the Eagles. The clue about Betty White and Vanna White is a reference to the Boyz II Men music video “Doin’ Just Fine,” where they wore all white.

Boyz II Men has been traveling the world on tour for decades and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2021. The guys also toured with ambassador Nick Lachey and his group 98 Degrees back in 2013.

Their first four albums were released by Motown and one of their first hit songs “Sympin’” sampled the Bell Biv DeVoe track “Poison,” which connects to the poison bottle clue.

As for the Halftime Show clue, Boys II Men performed during the “A Tribute to Motown’s 40th Anniversary” during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 1998.
