Give a gift that keeps on giving this Christmas – and by that I mean avoid anything too festive.

Come January 1st, none of us want to even look at something Christmas themed, so when you’re buying last-minute presents, bear that in mind.

You can’t go wrong with a cosy knit or jacket for winter, and thankfully Next and John Lewis both do click and collect or next day delivery, so you can be stress free.

If you’re not sure on sizes for your recipient then go for a bag like this designer-inspired woven clutch from River Island.

Another safe bet is the supermarkets – just check the product is in your store online and collect what you need while you’re picking up your food shop.

Last-minute shopping? Don’t worry—there are still plenty of fantastic gifts online.

Stripes are trending, and these premium pyjamas from Hush, available via Next, are a stylish pick.

One standout is River Island’s new release – a brilliant dupe for the viral Damson Madder leopard print jacket, saving you over £60!

Suede bags have been huge this season, and if you missed the sold-out Next version, M&S has just launched an almost identical alternative.

And if you’re completely stuck, Zara’s beautifully boxed gift cards, are a perfect solution that can be ordered online (so you can avoid the long queues).

My family still haven’t bought me a single thing for Christmas, so I thought I would make it easy for them and list everything that can arrive before the big day here!

I would prefer my whole family to club together to buy me one great gift rather than lots of little ones.

For me, gifts have to be one of three things.

Firstly, practical – pressies that will keep me warm and dry, like wellies and a scarf for January soggy dog walks.

Secondary, decadent – expensive perfume or a designer collaboration piece, because they feel totally indulgent and I probably wouldn’t splurge so much cash on myself in one hit.

Lastly, sentimental – if my husband and kids all grouped together to buy me a small forever piece of jewellery, they would steal my heart this Christmas.

I’m not sure why they always say I am so difficult to buy for!

I have fallen into the trap of leaving it until the last minute for buying my Christmas presents – normally I’m a lot more organised, but this year time seems to have got away from me!

And it’s safe to say I’m feeling overwhelmed.

So finding out this stores do quick delivery has been super-helpful.

I find that you can’t go wrong with accessories like jewellery, gloves and scarves when it comes to present buying.

I’ve had a couple of watches from Olivia Burton over the years and not only do they look lovely on, but they are great quality too.

And who doesn’t love a candle?

Neom has some delicious smelling ones this year and a three wick candle like this is sure to go down a treat when opened on Christmas Day.

Happy Christmas!

Christmas Fashion Tips from an Expert

CLEMMIE Fieldsend, Fashion Editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.

AVOID: Christmas jumpers
No longer a novelty gag, they’re now gone back to being naff and have no place at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Jumper Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.

WEAR: Burgundy
You can’t escape burgundy at this time of year and it’s a luxury, deep and rich colour that is a welcome break from Santa-red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.

AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather trimmed co-ords has had its day and is so dated.
Don’t pull out your hair plucked pair this year, and don’t get a new set, instead still go for the satin two-piece but just steer clear of the plumes.

WEAR: Sequin Dress
Try to switch up sequins slightly by wearing them with a different texture or colour, eg a sequin skirt with a sleek knit.
But when you’re really stuck on what to wear reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.

AVOID: Sequin blazer
Nothing worse than showing up to a festive do looking like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and Strictly judges, instead always reach for a classic tux style or velvet.

WEAR: Bling trousers
Last party season embellished jeans with diamante bling had a moment, and this year they’re going to be as much of a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging off wherever you go then try metallic, PU trousers.
