Premier League strugglers Wolves name Vitor Pereira as new coach

LONDON, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday confirmed Vitor Pereira as their new first team coach.

Pereira, who has coached Portuguese giants Porto, joins from Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab and has agreed a contract until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

He replaces Gary O'Neil, who was sacked last weekend after a 2-1 defeat at home to Ipswich Town that left Wolves second from bottom
