SP's Sambhal MP fined Rs 1.91 crore, electricity cut-off at residence for power theft

Sambhal MP Zia Ur Rehman faces a Rs 1.91 crore fine and power disconnection for alleged electricity theft. A police case was filed against him and his father, Mamlukur Rehman Barq, who allegedly threatened officials during the inspection. The inspection revealed bypassed meters and significant power usage despite zero consumption recorded.
