Man arrested, accused of committing June murder in Northwest Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police arrested a man accused of a murder over the summer that took place in Northwest Portland, authorities said.
Portland resident Major L. Hudson, Jr., 42, was arrested on Thursday and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and first-degree robbery, the Portland Police Bureau said.
Hudson is accused of killing 51-year-old O'Marr Burnett, who died in the hospital two days after the assault on June 12 in the 1900 block of Northwest Everett Street.
Burnett's family was notified of the arrest of Hudson, officials said.
The Medical Examiner found Burnett died of “homicidal violence,” according to PPB.
