Local man dies in hit-and-run in north Topeka
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Law enforcement has released new information Thursday after a man was found dead in an area in north Topeka.
Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka said the suspicious death victim has been identified as Dalton K. Thomas, 31, of Topeka. His death is now under investigation as a hit-and-run.
Police were called around 6:45 a.m. on Dec. 13 to an area near the intersection of Northwest Topeka Boulevard and Northwest Elm Row. Officers arriving at the scene located a man suffering from life-threatening injuries who was later declared dead. Investigators announced the incident would be investigated as a suspicious death.
