Did you feel the earthquake near Uncertain, Texas?

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - A magnitude 3.3 earthquake was felt in parts of the Arklatex early Thursday morning.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the tremor was just 2.48 miles from Uncertain, Texas.

We asked our viewers to tell us if they felt the earthquake and received confirmation from Bossier City, Blanchard, and North Shreveport residents. One resident in North Shreveport says she thought a tree had fallen on her home from the intensity of the shake.

"It's a decent little shake; any time you get a magnitude 3 to 3.5 you're not really going to see any damage, but it can move the pictures on the wall. It will be noticeable," says Meteorologist Josh Marcisz.

According to the USGS, a magnitude three earthquake feels like a weak shaking that's noticeable indoors, especially on the upper floors of buildings.

  • Standing cars may rock slightly
