Inside the new Spanish hotel where every room is game-themed with retro consoles and on-site water park
IF YOUR children love video games, then you might want to book a holiday at a game-themed hotel in Spain.
Set in Oropesa del Mar, Magic Games Hotel is part of Magic World Resort – a sprawling Spanish resort that’s home to several hotels, restaurants, water parks and an amusement park.

The Spanish beachfront hotel features a Gamer Museum where guests can explore the history of video games from retro consoles and props to artwork from well-known video game sagas.
For younger guests, there’s also a kids’ club with workshops, games and competitions.
Not only is the hotel home to retro arcade games but there are also virtual reality games in its reception area.
The game theme continues in the rooms, which are decked out in gaming decor.
Each of the rooms comes equipped with a smart TV, air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries.
There’s also an on-site swimming pool, with separate areas for adults and children.
Other on-site facilities include a tennis court, a playground, a sauna and a gym.
Stays at the hotel also include access to Magic Splash Adventure water park, a beachfront aqua park that’s located right next to the hotel.
The Spanish resort claims to have more than six acres of water slides, pools and children’s splash parks.
Other features of the resort, which are open to hotel guests, include a land train and an on-site amusement park with carousel and fairground rides.
Inside the Magic World Resort, there are also four themed à la carte restaurants.
Meanwhile, Magic Games Hotel has its own on-site buffet restaurant where a range of international dishes are served.
Evening entertainment includes live musicians and magic shows.
Magic Games Hotel opened in June and has already been praised by visitors with a 4/5 star rating on TripAdvisor.

Magic Games Hotel is currently closed for the winter season and will reopen in February, 2025.
