For people of a certain age, the epic Jim Carrey movie became the Grinch for an entire generation. Bizarrely, in 2018, even though the world did not ask for it, 2018 gave us a new animated take on The Grinch. This time, the titular moody creature was a little more romantic, and the movie made a bigger deal about the actual family units of the Whos down in Whoville. It’s not a classic, but it’s not half bad and Cumberbatch is totally perfect as the voice of Grinch.
