Paris Hilton Can See Herself Running for Office

Paris Hilton might be interested in sliving her best life on Capitol Hill long term. Per CNN, the heiress made a pit stop in Washington, D.C., this week after the House passed the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act on Wednesday. The 43-year-old has been an instrumental backer of the youth-welfare bill, which was first introduced to Congress in April 2023 to address the widely documented horrors of the “troubled teen industry.”

Over the years, Hilton has spoken at length about her traumatic involuntary stay at Utah’s Provo Canyon School, where she says she was sexually and physically abused. “This moment is proof that our voices matter, that speaking out can spark change, and that no child should ever endure the horrors of abuse in silence,” Hilton wrote on X on Wednesday.

While addressing the press after the bill’s victory, Hilton was asked if she could see herself running for elected office one day. “After coming here so many times over the past couple of years and seeing that my voice really can make a difference, and I can really shine a spotlight on things that are important around the world to make it a better place and safer for children … I can maybe see that happening,” Hilton said, according to The Hill.

Paris Hilton in her Legally Blonde era? I can see it, too. The entrepreneur and DJ has already made herself right at home in our nation’s capital, riding her motorized “slivcase” all over the Hill. And, of course, the reality-television-to-politics pipeline has been well paved thanks to one orange man. It doesn’t take much of a mental leap to imagine Hilton skipping through the halls of the Capitol singing the operatic hit “Sanasa.” What, like it’s hard?
