Ohio State vs. Tennessee: what to know before you go to the game

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - The first round of the College Football Playoff kicks off this weekend, and Ohio State set to play Tennessee at Ohio Stadium at 8 p.m. Saturday.

This is the first football game played at The Shoe in December, as the No. 8 Buckeyes will face off against the No. 9 Volunteers. The winner of the game will move on to a quarterfinal to play Oregon at the Rose Bowl. If you got tickets to the playoff game, here's what to know before you go.

When can I park?

  • Parking lots will open as early as 5 a.m. for tailgaters and fans.
  • Parking is first-come, first serve within the assigned lots on game day
  • Day of Game lots are $30 or $40, depending on where you park.
  • Payments for parking are cashless, credit or debit cards accepted.

Team Shop

  • Opens at 7 a.m., offering several game day locations

Fan Fest and Ticket Office

  • Both open at 5 p.m.
  • Fan Fest is located outside of the Ice Rink and St. John Arena.

When can I go inside the stadium?

  • Gates to Ohio Stadium will open to fans at 6 p.m., two hours before kickoff.

Kickoff

  • The game will officially kickoff at 8 p.m.

Bag Policy

  • Bags or purses of any size are not allowed in Ohio Stadium.
  • Wallets and wristlets no larger than 5”x8”x1” are permitted.
  • All items and fans entering Ohio Stadium are subject to security screening and inspection.
