As reported by News18, the project, designed by Brazilian artist Lalali Senna, Ayrton Senna’s niece, has secured all necessary environmental and governmental clearances. With an estimated construction cost of Rs 4,700 crore, the tower aims to be a landmark achievement.
Currently, the title for the tallest residential building is held by Central Park Tower in Manhattan, New York, which stands at 472.4 meters. The Senna Tower will exceed this by 36.6 meters, setting a new global benchmark.
The tower symbolises Ayrton Senna’s historic journey
Ayrton Senna is regarded as one of the greatest drivers in motorsport history, known for his remarkable achievements and tragic death in a racing accident in 1994. The tower symbolises his “heroic journey,” intertwining his physical accomplishments with a spiritual narrative.
The architectural design emphasises both aesthetic appeal and a meaningful connection to Senna’s legacy.
Ayrton Senna claimed three Formula One World Championships with McLaren in 1988, 1990, and 1991. His illustrious career was marked by his unmatched speed and extraordinary ability. Tragically, Senna lost his life on May 1, 1994, during the San Marino Grand Prix when his car collided with a concrete barrier at the Imola Circuit in Italy. His legacy continues to inspire drivers and motorsport fans worldwide, securing his place as an enduring icon in racing history.
The tower, constructed with gleaming glass and illuminated to its pinnacle, is poised to become Balneário Camboriú’s most radiant and iconic structure, lighting up the city’s skyline at night.
To offer wide array of facilities
The tower will offer a wide array of facilities spread across multiple levels. It will have a total of 154 floors and public spaces on the ground floor will include shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Higher floors will host amenities such as a heated pool, wellness center, tennis courts, and a gym. Residents will have access to elevated ‘mansions,’ duplex and triplex penthouses, and state-of-the-art recreational spaces, including a private garage club. The building will be topped by an observatory, offering panoramic views of the city and coastline.
