Trai recommends additional 5 MHz to Railways in 700 MHz band
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended allocating an additional 5 MHz of 700 MHz spectrum to the Indian Railways for safety and security purposes. This adds to the 5 MHz already assigned, creating a contiguous 10 MHz block. TRAI also suggested a separate 5 MHz block for metro and rapid rail networks.
