NYPD and Santa's helpers deliver Christmas cheer to a Brooklyn family in need

BROOKLYN (PIX11) – This week, our viewers' generosity really made it happen.

After quickly repairing a Brooklyn mother of four, the NYPD and Santa’s helpers delivered a special gift to her children.

PIX11 News first met Taish Guzman back in November.  She tagged us for help on TikTok because she was tired of cleaning up the water from a bad leak in her living room, where she always puts her Christmas tree.

The City quickly fixed the problem. The NYPD and the First Responders Children's Foundation surprised the family with gifts.

A special thanks to Detective Tanya Duhaney and the president and CEO of the first responders, Children's Foundation Jillian Crane, for all the toys and for making this magic moment happen.

Two moms living in the same building in Lower Manhattan are on a mission to help 800 families with the Salvation Army. They are delivering holiday wishlists to needy families.

Times Square had a unique distribution, and a special thanks to the powerhouse moms Lissa Hussian and Jessica Grunfeld for making it happen.

Finally, it was Jersey City’s PAL December to remember.

This week, more than 50 children received a $200 shopping spree—thanks to the Kid City Stores of Jersey City, Senator Angela McKnight, the Paul and Phillis Fireman charitable foundation, and community champions Myesha and Elvis Foster.
