The new Blazin’ Fried Chicken Pringles will be on shelves from January 1.
They are inspired by Nashville hot chicken which is marinated in spices, deep fried, and then coated in cayenne sauce or just cayenne spice.
The fiery and popular recipe from Tennessee came out on top when Pringles fans were asked what meat-flavoured crisps they would like to see.
Brits are increasingly keen to get some Nashville-inspired chicken with searches for the chicken recipe soaring by 120 per cent in the past year, according to The Metro.
The chain Dave’s which is dedicated to Nashville hot chicken arrived in the UK earlier this month.
So, it seems Pringles is on the money by launching the new flavour in a matter of weeks.
Shoppers will be able to identify the new tube with its black and orange colouring accompanied by the image of a Pringle with a fiery chilly and a chicken piece.
The packaging warns fans about the heat with ‘hot’ written largely in capital letters on the front next to a red thermometer and the Pringle man with steam coming out of the side of his head.
They will be on sale in all major supermarkets across the UK and Ireland for £2.50 for a 160g tube.
It will be part of the chain’s non-high fat, salt, and sugar range which includes the multigrain crisps as well as Flamin’ Cheese, and Mexican Chilli & Lime.
Seanáin McGuigan, Pringles Brand Manager UKI, told the Metro: “Hot and spicy foods have clearly been trending recently.
“We’ve listened to the demand and are excited to launch Blazin’ Fried Chicken to help satisfy those spicy cravings. What better time to bring the heat than in January?
“We’re confident that spice-seekers are going to love it.”
It comes after five new limited-edition Pringles flavours have been on offer for just £1.75.
