Qatar vows to stop EU gas sales if fined under due diligence law, FT reports

Qatar's Energy Minister, Saad al-Kaabi, warned the EU that it will halt gas shipments if the new Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, penalizing forced labor and environmental damage, is strictly enforced. Kaabi stated that Qatar cannot afford to lose 5% of its revenue, which the penalties could amount to, emphasizing it's public funds.
